Floss and body is good...I think I know the issue Chris...
Tie the barbs in as though you're cinching in a married wing...that is, you'll tie/crush those barbs down (NOT FLAT) on their side...they will give you that full-dressed profile...

Thanks for the tip, I still have to mount the wing on the new one so I'll try it there
