Flounder, skate, and dogfish were all caught bottom fishing squid and clams. Pickerel was using a small white spinnerbait. The whitefish was bottom bouncing nymphs. Bonefish was shrimp flies. The bluerunner and snapper was a 1/2 oz jig and hermit crab. And the bass was using crankbaits.

He's right, St. Clair is your best chance of hooking up with a muskie. Its a good lake for quantity and quality.

What I have caught in Ontario:
brown trout
brook trout
rainbow trout (only at a fish farm, not sure if that counts lol)
largemouth
smallmouth
rock bass
perch
pumpkinseed
black crappie
blue gill
northern pike
muskie
walleye
brown bullhead
creek chub

My to catch list would be: (Ontario fish)
any type of salmon (I am going to try this weekend)
lake trout
longnose gar

What I definately don't want to catch:
bowfin - they scare me lol

snakehead .... where can I find these guys?
Hopefully no where around here. If they showed up in On waters they would be an invasive species and a top predator eating our native fish.
I hear there are lots in Florida tho (where they are also invasive, they are native to Asia and Africa.)

i seen a mooneye caught once in the thames river in london. So i know they are there but i think they are pretty rare.
Fish the Grand with worms or minnows, not that rare at all there.

Just curious Kleiner, why would Bowfin scare you? They are beautiful fish and a lot of fun to catch.

ya I think the fight would be fun because I've heard they are really strong. But I think they are really ugly looking. They look like a lamp ray IMO and Ive heard they really destroy your lures. They also have the ability to breathe air which kinda creeps me out lol.
If I ever hook into one I hope you are around Alfie!!

I caught muskie very strong ... jumping .... scary too with razor sharp teeth .... my hand were bleeding but the excitement, adrenaline, kills the fear.
