you can venture north for some ice fishing, though most places close march 15, pike should be in now, trout are a popular choice, catfish carp

roe, worms or flies under a float are a good place to start. One setup option is to use a 12-24" 4-8lb flurocarbon leader with a #8-12 salmon hook and 10lb mainline. If you really want to dive in set your self up with a centerpin reel and a 11.5-13' float rod. Or if you want to go the fly rod route some other guys here can recommend a setup for you. Search the forum for Salmon, Steelhead or Trout and you will find some threads explaining different rigs and setups.

Thank you so much. At the moment im using a simple medium action 4-10lbs rod with 6-10lbs line cap real.

That's the problem with it fishing noob, you asked me to elaborate.....well here it is on a different post.. This guy doesn't do any research he just asks to get spoon fed spots and technique and now he's a fisher man ?
