what would be in small rivers in a more urban area at this time that you can fishJMatt1983 said:whats out there and whats open at this time are different.
you can venture north for some ice fishing, though most places close march 15, pike should be in now, trout are a popular choice, catfish carp
thank you what should i use for bait?JMatt1983 said:steelhead, pay close attention to the regs on these rivers/creeks, only a portion is open right now
Thank you so much. At the moment im using a simple medium action 4-10lbs rod with 6-10lbs line cap real.NADO said:roe, worms or flies under a float are a good place to start. One setup option is to use a 12-24" 4-8lb flurocarbon leader with a #8-12 salmon hook and 10lb mainline. If you really want to dive in set your self up with a centerpin reel and a 11.5-13' float rod. Or if you want to go the fly rod route some other guys here can recommend a setup for you. Search the forum for Salmon, Steelhead or Trout and you will find some threads explaining different rigs and setups.
