you pay that much for a quality piece of gear thats going to last a lifetime, yes, they have lifetime warranties

Fly fishing and cp have the own place lots of people do both me I only fly fish and yes I run a indicator with an egg pattern for steel but lots of centre piners run Flys so it goes both ways I'm not saying one is better they both have there place as for price they both aren't cheap when you get into high quality gear

but back on topic, tuesday is the best night of the week for me.....fly fishing tuesdays on wfn, and hate to admit it, but the orvis show is one of the best for learning to fly fish

Sucker fishing on the pin is a blast in the spring. Last year we did it to scratch the itch before trout opener (of course in sections of the river that are open year long only).

the only shows i really like now are ones that are far different than here in southern ontario. flying for bones in the flats, goliath grouper, some of the fishing out west ( no chronomid fishing tho, if i gotta slurp its guts and use a scanning electron microscope to select the right size 30 green with red ribbing and 3 tails or whatever-no thanks). that flyfisher chick that goes around the world (Katherine?) has a good show.
sick of stuff like pete and ang, daryl just goes on fly ins for 2 # pickeral, etc. who wants pins shows, then a flock of idiots with`a couple hundred bucks will be on the river. busy enough as it is and tv would be a mega spotburner!

I agree there would be more ppl on the tribs, but that would mean more $$$ for manufacturers.

Maybe this is a case where the manufacturers actually want what's best for the sport!
