sounds good kit!

I will be on saltwater from june 1-12 but otherwise im in. if i cant make good luck to you guys!

i know how to roll cast and have a very basic switch setup that ive been trying to learn with...
sort of familiar with nymphing and dry flies. messed with streamers a little bit. still very much a newbie :)

I'm getting pretty stoked for this as well.. Will be the first real O.F.F event with members. Looking to host more in the future as well.

Reminds me of my airsoft (like paintball) days when I would host games that id get over 100 people to come out and have fun. But this is way more easier to manage haha.

I'm not sure if a park is really needed, I guess that would depend totally on the so called inexperienced fly fishers and how much grass practice is needed. I still say the Flats are a great place to start the day it has lots of different water and space to practice and then hit up one of the 20 or so access points between Shand dam and Montrose. Who know's weather and water level might play a role in where we end up fishing.

Hope you don't think I"m being to pushy just trying to keep things simple with minimal driving and more time on water. Whatever the majority decides is cool with me.

Thanks for getting this all together.

That's TONS of space. I'm starting to think Wilson's is the place. And Esox thanks for taking the pictures! Yeah hopefully the week of we get little or no rain. And there will be plenty more events in the future with OFF members I would love to organize.

Also was thinking of doing a shore lunch too with some deep fried Cod or Haddock and chips. Who's in for that?

This will be a ton of fun!! I can't wait.

I like the experienced to noobie ratio :) we'll get through basics really quickly this way and can hit the water faster to do some hands on learning. Woooo!

I'm definitely in for a shore lunch! And if I catch anything worth eating between now and then I'll freeze it for the day.

I would, but with the trout fishing going on right now it's hard to bring myself to bait fishing for an entire day! Also, if anyone brings fish make sure to leave a skin patch or a receipt! It's a no kill zone on the river and we wouldn't want anyone to think we got the fish there.

I can get rainbow pretty cheap. But I have never deepfried that I have heard of it being done though..I can just bring my huge frying pan and propane cooker and we can just fry up some rainbow?
