Nice tie Chase! Looks like the floss has a bit of a backwards taper though, does it?

I don't know (floss back half only then dubbing)...crappy pic. Started tying and old 19th C pattern and broke off the heron...so had to wing a non-pattern...
19C patterns to come.

I've not tied classics for a while, cause I'm over-committed with three fly swaps across NA...so out of practice a bit. Friend of mine is making custom salar hooks...nobles and limericks...

I Hate when a 10 dollar feather breaks. Does it have wings or just a heavy teal collar?

Piano wire...they look great, he's machined a nice barb cutter as well...

Spray painting the first set...and J black for the remainder once we have a little kiln

Remind him to wear a mask with that stuff, I've heard it's pretty strong s#@^t! Let me know when he has a batch ready, I'll be glad to test some, lol.

He's having some jigs water cut...once he has his system worked out I'll let you know.

Nop...he had to research this for about a month...not going to be mass produced but should be cool to have some hand forged hooks....
