lol I like it too :) I use the indexer for deerhair and large flies now . And the master vice for every thing eles

yes his name is marc/same dude

There are some realy nice vices out there !

I have the renzetti master vice too . But would Realy like to get my hands on a LAW vice .

Here are the first dry flies I have ever tied, Griffiths Gnat. I was finding it tough to find grizzly hackle that wasn't so long, because it seems a bit longer than it should be for it. To be honest Im not sure what fish even hit this fly I just saw it and it looked the easiest to tie, and easy to learn how to tie dries on a small hook. The one to the left of the beer cap is on a nymph hook, just tied it to get the pattern down first! How do they look?

grayer--remember, and i dont mean this in a rude way to anyone--the fies dont need to look like something over the fireplace--they are a tool to catch flies--those suckers will get devoured by fish man
...

i plan on using them in spring for brookies and such---nice emerger with bright wing on top --also look like a great fly to use on a dropper pattern as an "indicator" over a nymph, ihave tied several and gotten the the thumbs up from a friend of mine who ties very well..but man i keep putting too much dubbing on body...brutal

Use a tiny bit at a time, you can always add more as you go. I've got almost 30 hours of tying time ahead of me in the next few days so lets see if I can get them down finally.

i used head cement to flatten the tail end cause i usCAM00229.jpged too much dubbing-hence the shine

It looks alright, but try tying your post sloping forward more, you want the body completely submerged, and standing fairly vertical. I tied about 20 today and they aren't too bad.

its more of a "using a curved nymph hook instead if a true klink hook" issue but i sure can tilt it forward--fish wont know the difference
