so when is shawarmas fly shop opening up bro?

i keep throwing my money at the screen but no flies are in my mailbox yet

Coming soon bro!!

i wish though.. I need to fish these flies first to see how they are. Have no idea if the ties will even hold haha

Tied up some zebra midges 'cause they looked cool. Red, Pink and Chartreuse. Size 14s. I will tie some smaller ones, but didn't have 16s or 18s yet.

Here the recipe. Same one for all just change colours.
Butt. Uv ice dub spun in a loop
Body- uv polar chenille, heavier towards the front
"Underwing"- 2 or 3 wraps dyed guinea palmered
Wing- 5 strands flashabou doubled over
Collar 1- 2 or 3 turns palmered marabou
Collar 2 - dyed Amherst tail
Collar 3- 2 turns schlappen

Not sure if thats the correct names but thats how i tie them. Once the bou is wet the chenille and guinea really show thru

Those mini zebras look hot - really liking the chartruese ones - brown candy

that's an interesting looking tie, FF. I've seen a video about a woven body but it was nowhere near as complicated as that one looks.

what is the pattern trying to replicate? Anything specific?

its not that bad tbh, its a series of overhand knots, always making sure to have the same colour on the top, and the second colour on the bottom, on this one, the green is on top, and grey on the bottom

First fly of 2015! Would have been nice if I'd taken the body a little further and finished with a shorter head, also wish I'd use broader strips of woodie and it would be nice if I hadn't forgotten the horns. Other than that though I'm pretty pleased with this one (still waiting for one more coat of varnish).
