Went out to a trib this evening after work and caught some nice brooks. So many were rising and they were caught on dries - adams and klinkhammer dries were used. Seemed like a small hatch going on as well. Could have just been the mosquitos though...

The largest of the evening:

Caught about 5 in total. Was a fun evening.

cool man. good work. just a heads up, youre not aloud to name the rivers on this forum, they are to be categorized in East or West Tribs. In this case, you should have just said "on a west trib" since you are west of Toronto.

Cheers

Thanks. The trib is a rather large river... I could have been fishing anywhere ;)

Ya I agree but the brook trout arent everywhere in the system but I'm not here to pick on you great fish if you ever want to get out let me know I have a fair bit of experience on there or other rivers

That rule only goes for the Steehead and Salmon section.

Witch is stupid..should be for ALL species and ALL locations..shouldnt pick and choose..for some anglers steelhead and salmon rank lower on the scale..

If your going to quote me acctualy use what I said..I said for some anglers..not all..but for some there honey hole for another species may be more important to them then the pool they fish for steelhead.

no need to be so serious, everybody knows that steelhead is king on this site....and I do agree with you
yes it is! All im saying is all fish deserves the respect that steelhead get and the rule should be for all species..I'm not as irritated as it sounds lol..sorry IF you took it wrong.

P.S nice brookies and my apologies for your thread being hijacked 34ric

There were so many hitting the surface, it was unreal. Splashes all around me, sat in the middle of the stream and casted up and down stream with success. Great time.

Well Steelhead may be king with some, they are everywhere.
I agree, don't share Brookie rivers they are becoming so rare. Especially not my spots.

Alfie.

I agree, we shouldn't broadcast fishing holes for any species, but this forum does seem to be a little partial towards Salmonids so a lot of importance is placed on those fish
