If you are only going in waste deep.. Couldn't you simply use a back pack?

its not as easy to take it off and take your stuff out while fixing your line than it is when you can work on a table without carrying heavy gear on your back around forever

i'm a little confused ... what are you planing to do with it; tie flies in the middle of the river? most of the guys on the river don't even need backpack, small waist pack or chest pack is enough. there is no need to take all your tackle everytime you go fishing, take few lures and learn how to work them.

yeah i dont have a wading suit or any of that gear though, plus me and some friends bring all our tackle out with food, cans of pop .etc plus once in a while the bong so its got multi uses. plus its sick to put fish on and measure em for pictures .etc

Uh... did I miss the sarcasm?

Sorry, but it looks like a piece of poop.

[EDIT: S-H-I-T not poop... forum auto-corrects]

There was no sarcasm at ALL! He went ahead with his idea something millions of people do not do because they care what others will think or say about them or do not have the self motivation to follow their dreams. The only thing I have for Caledonia Kid is admiration! He designed, built and tested a product the he came thought of with the help of other positive members of the forums. So yah, I absolutely do not think that this floating table is "poop" I think it is a beautiful idea turned in to reality. GOOD WORK Caledonia and continue being a dreamer, inventor and fisherman/woman!

That's great, it works for you, does what you want it to do, that's all that matters. Nice going glad you did it.

Threeparrots I did not see any ideas or suggestions coming from you, I and many other members are here to help others when asked. If you have nothing positive to add, then say nothing at all. Or you could have just offer to buy the kid a boat so his inventive creation would not be so offensive to you. While you're at it I could use one myself......lol. A 18 footer with a 40 horse will do fine. Oh yeah on a trailer please......lol.

Lolz a true frugler always gets others to buy stuff for him or her. Not only saving the frugler time which is money but as well as gas and travel costs. I think a good 32 footer would be better suited for the rough great lakes. :)
