I think Lake Simcoe would be the best for most people since it is so close to Toronto and other big cities, as stated above many of us are a good ways away from Haliburton and Lake Simcoe is a close enough distance for most people. Icefished Cooks Bay last year for my first time and I was surprised at the quality and quantity of fish coming out, awesome fishery.

bancroft meh, never liked that place lol, if you know how to catch them sure, but if its gonna be like that one time when i went with a local and we got 1 fish, then screw it, lol, whatever the majority decides thats what we can go with, I'm up for anything, but i still think whities up north would be better.
Im down for anything aslong as theres ice ahah

Hopefuly it freeze early if not maybe some northern lake in haliburton would be good then another meeting in simcoe once it freeze

Id say Simcoe perch its easy to get to and you can keep it in open view for everyone to see instead of PMing everyone amd having alot of confusion.i dont think alot of guys are going to want to show a group of 10+ guys there back lake speck spots..plus Simcoe perch is idiot proof so everyone will catch something..and a few of us will have lots of extra gear.

I'm up for it, of course id rather go north for whities or lakers, but if you guys wanna go to simcoe, I'm in, but its better to go to vb or something then, because cooks has lot of fish, but they're no bigger then 6 inches, lol.

Took a look at my miss of river that sits on my other couch and thought I might have to clean it up soon...

I might be in for a get together if it happens this year.

Looking forward to some early ice perching action, and btw cooks had good numbers of keepers last year. I did a tonne of checking out spots on the lake and found the east side wasn't much better, but that's my experience.

I don't use a float suit either, tho in the summer I purchased a brand new body glove lifejacket that im going to be wearing when exploring new water. Its not bulky like a normal one so it should be just fine.
