ummm, Grubler.... 8 bills is putting you, my good friend, into the high end of the Frugler class.... Next you will want steak instead of Kraft Dinner.... did I mention a certain 4 buck plug yet that shall remain nameless for fear of sounding like I'm dishing out shameless promotion for a certain big box tackle store??? Don't make me say it!

:D

Yeah I know, but for the first year of having it I probably would not use it untill I forgot how much it cost for fear of losing it.....lol. One day I'll have to drive across the city to BP and check out those lures you mentioned. Do those lures have a nice ass............lol. Apparently predatory fish are in to ....that.....lol. I should google fish porn, see what comes up.....lol.

Dugger, you're gonna pee your pants on this.

Question: "I noticed recently that one of my gold barbs has a red spot or some kind of inflamed sore at its anus. It eats and behaves normally and none of my other fish have been affected by this.

Any idea of what it could be? Since none of hte other fish have gotten anything similar I'm guessing it's not viral or bacterial and maybe just some sort of injury?"

Reply: "If the redness looks like tiny worms then this is a parasite called Camelanus. A very nasty one.
If the area is swollen, but nothing protruding it might be any of several things.
Might be a tumor or growth of some sort, or might be constipation."

Fish constipation? Not enough fibre in the diet? Let it swim in metamucil.......lol.

What Detailed Anus?? I had a look at EVERY Lure they sell.

Unless they started using Prep H in the last few days Your "Detailed Anus" Ain't there, other than what looks like a "Little Pimple"

Is this the Perch Thing AGAIN and the "Inflammed Gills"??

QUOTE:"There are certain things that trigger the instinctual characteristics of predatory fish. For an example the live target perch I got recently has a swollen/red/black anus as well as inflamed gills. The anus shows what happens when a fish has an issue in its intestinal tract and the inflamed gills show issues with oxygen intake - either of these being present spell out an easy meal for a fish. I haven't used it yet but I love pulling it out of its package and showing people the irritated anus lol".

Live Target has ONE PERCH. Bass Pro sells it for $12.99.

OMG!!!! I am laughing way too hard right now to even comment :D .... when I grow up I'm gonna start a rock band called "Detailed Anus" with an umlaut over the "u" :D

Now FishHawk, stay away from the 14 buck plug please and thank you... DO NOT FALL FOR ITS CHARMS!!!!!!

good lord I am sitting here in tears.... :D

Next time I get a perch I'm gonna look at it's anus. That sounds sick........lol. Then I'll spoon feed it Metamucil, because I care about fish health.......lmao.

Fish colon cancer can be prevented...........lmao.

My eyes are burning from laughing so much.....lol All I'd need is to have a CO see me inspecting the anuses and charge me with attempted fish love....lol. Be branded a pervert like the guy on the Simpsons.

Double Post

Thank you "FishingNoob".

It's the Same Lure as in my Post. The Pictures I put there came from Bass Pro as they were clearer than the ones on "Live Targets" www Site.

They also had a "Sphincter Muscle Shot" (Bottom Of the Lure). I think that's where the "sunA" is.

However. Prior to doing that, and to make sure BEFORE Posting I went to their Site and grabbed their Pictures also.

The Picture You're showing is the bottom one from the three on the Colour Selection Page. OR the Main Page for their Freshwater Lures (Shown Below)

I also got Pics of there new Harder Bodied "Walking Frog" ..LOOKS GOOD!! along with their "Field Mouse" GOTTA Get that one :!:

You getting "Double Posts" also? The other night I had One that went on 3 Times and everything takes a LONG Time to get Posted after you hit the button.

My Computer has slowed down to a SLOW Crawl Just since I've come on here. Been happening a Lot! NOT GOOD! I'm gonna have to run a "Check" on this site and see what I can find out. Probably their "Server".

Later Buddy.

Rick

I went looking in my "Medical-Human Body" File, to see if we had one of those "Suna's" like the Perch has.

No where to be Found  It must be Well Hidden Somewhere. :!:

I did find what appears to be a Misfile. I think it should of gone in my "Fishing Bait" File.

Looks like a Worm of some kind, but I can't remember How or Where I got it???

Anybody seen one like this before? I don't know what's with all the Weird Names they put on it :(

I mean like, after all, it's just One Little Worm.

Your exactly correct on where I got the photo, Lolz. I find I am getting double posts only in the general fishing area and in the shout box.

AMEN!

Spent 11.99 on a livetarget frog this year, thats the most I have ever spent, excluding muskie baits of course

I got a live target hollow body frog for a Christmas present. But I've got to say that lure is 100% snag proof! I cast it right into reeds and it comes free, I've cast it up into trees and she comes home, I've cast it in soo many places where I would be scared to cast other lures and her come home.

I was going to take pictures of the anus and gills on my perch but for the first time in a long time I guess I decided to take it out of the trunk. If you have one of those perch and look at its anus you will see a purble/blackish paint job that makes the anus look somewhat swollen or like it has a parasite or bacteria in its intestines. The gill has a bright red line on the gill which would resemble inflamed gills as the gills can become more red than usual when an issue is present.

Grubman that Q&A you posted sounds like it came from an aquarium forum. I have kept fish in aquariums for longer than I have been fishing which is why I know about these symptoms. You never know when you will benefit from stored knowledge!lol

Nado: When you describe it that way ....you're absolutely Correct!

Also with your Aquarium Knowledge (Me Also for 10/15 Years) I can see how you would notice that!

If you do take pictures let me know ...OH! Wait! I have that Lure, from all angles in "My Documents" ..."Fishing Tackle". I'll have another look. Maybe I can Blow It Up and get a Better Look.

Rick.

Exibit A: Inflamed Anus
-As you can see below the anus on this perch is quite inflamed with a dark bruising purple color where the anus would be that fades away. If I were keeping this fish I would probably just add some salt to the water and the fish would likely recover. In the wild the fish would likely be picked off by a predator before it had a chance to recover.

Exibit B: Inflamed or Irritated Gills
- This one isnt as well done as the anus but that bright red line at the base of the gill plate signals issues in the gills and will generally identify a fish that is more slow moving than the others.

Crappy camera but you can at least see what im talking about.

May i propose an Inflammed Anus section added to the OFF upgrades that HQ is working on

*gets back to reading "Inflammed Anuses for Dummies" out on the deck*
