Been looking for that type of light everywhere and cannot find one. Dollar stores and all over the place. Can anyone give me a heads up to where I can find one?

I bought one from Bronte Outdoors some years ago but was a very low quality built.

My Blackberry has a LED flash for the camera and there's a Flashlight app available for like a dollar. I found it to work much better than a traditional flashlight.

I've been telling you guys, if you are just gonna use glow in dark cleos... Those do not need any special light other than any typical flash light. Now if you have one of those Moonshine glow in dark you would either want a camera flash or a good powerful uv/black light.

The problem with that is that its gonna drain your battery and eventually screw up your battery life...the original BB battery comes for around $70 + tax vs a flash that you can buy at bronte for $6 + tax...trust me on the battery thing, i know it from experience.

Glad I read this post, someone told me to download that app but it seemed silly. BB screen gives off enough light anyhow, if you're fumbling looking for the right key at night.

I found mine at a surplus store in Hamilton. Lol maybe go to the Pacific Mall and buy one off one of the vendors :D
Walk into a camera store and ask about old flashes, I've got a mitt full of old camera flashes I've picked up here & there.

Even auto parts stores like Parts Source sells blacklights for ricer strip lighting.

fisher u buy ball bearing swivel and u tie that on, its much easier and better then tyin your line directly to the lure.

here it looks like this

Yes, 9' Medium Power is good enough.

BPS is selling a lure charger that can be put on a key chain. It's a lot more convenient than the old ones.

palomar knot

It's the simpliest and strongest knot to tie.

Just tag the ends with a cigarrette and your good.

There are stronger knots but it's like Velcro shoes :)

Openfire, this post is a godsend. I'd like to add on to this question: achieving casting distance with smaller spoons. Does anyone add a split shot up-line?

Also: are wire leaders a good idea for salmon?

EDIT: didn't realize this post was a year old! got rid of dup questions =P, also may have posted multiple times due to pressing the wrong button sorry!

Just get a rod with enough backbone and whip that you can load it up and cast the smallest spoons a mile. It's all about the gear.

You can add split, but, it might mess with the action and creates a pinch point on the line causing another possible point of failure.

As for wire leaders, no need. 10lb mono is all I use.. Salmon teeth are sharp, but I've never had them bite my line in half.
