me too buddy. i can get the migrations that matter to me all winter but the resi sections close soon

yep the resi closes soon. So i have to really tight up my lines in those areas and keeping the bushes low too.

you guys worry to much haha, salmon need rain or they'll just keep waiting. if we get a big rain things will all change.

banking lots of fish out east in a few "honey holes" was out this past weekend and managed around 40 fish, that much and probably even more got off or tangled or broke me off under log jams, broke off to a nice brown on a white spinner and got a couple fresh cohos, released them so they can continue their journey. Kept a chrome hen for myself for some roe and table fare and kept 2 more for a bud of mine. The hen legit hit a williams ice lure! Had to try it because all my other lures were either broken or gone lol, made my day when this beauty hit right before i was about to pack it up! @bowslayer the first hen this year i also got on a williams ice spoon.. seems like its a good choice for them. who would have known?
only reason i tied it on was because i lost my last cleo to a bad snag lol

huh, i thought this was a one time thing, guess I'm gonna be using it a lot more often now, lol, only problem is if you chuck it out east people think you're snagging but hey they've gotta be pretty stupid if they think someone will snag with such an expensive lure lol.

You guys are killing me with all these fish. I have hardly seen anyone pull one out of a superior trib yet. Not as many fish this year or just late I guess.

ya def late, superior usually gets a later run than lake o and I've only started seeing major runs out east in the past couple weeks, that being said, i have seen fish around since early-mid august just very few, right now there is lots in most places i go to.

I hope so. I was talking to a CO in Nipigon yesterday, and he told me that at this time last year there were 10 times the number of chinnies in the river than there are this year.

ya last year the creeks around here were loaded to the max and the smell on the creeks were terrible, however i like it how it is right now, I've found quite a few fish and because the popular creeks numbers aren't very high its keeping a lot of the loogans out and not much dead fish means theres no crap smell and i can actually enjoy myself out on the river! Ive gotta get back up to the superior tribs this year, i miss pinks and bows around there!
