not to say this is what you're doing, but i've seen people that are very skilled at making flossing look legal by doing just that, and they basically 'feed' the fish, ie, right depth and shot swing, to put the bait right into the opening and closing mouth of resting fish.
Right you are Flyer.
I see it every trout opener at Ganny.
That's why I prefer high and dirty.
Evens the playing field if you know what I mean.

What kind of streamers flys should I be looking for,Any specific colour or type? I'm new to float fishing if u can't tell

Rain Wed and Thu.
Get ready for round two.
Should bring the ho.
Gets better from here on.

I hope you guys don't think I'm a "dentist"! Lol.

I catch all my fish legitimately, I was fishing some clearer water this weekend watched my fly swing past the fish, and the fish do a 180 to absolutely destroy my fly before constant aggressive head shakes.

Caught my first few fish on a fly rod, and I must say.... It's addictive when a 20+ lb fish comes behind a fly and just wants to kill it, for the sake of killing it...

stinger leeches are killer for cohos and steels. Salmons too. most of my takes are on the swing...

Erindale park is a zoo. Last year around late September I checked it out and there were probably 250-300 fisherman in that one stretch of river. One guy had his speaker blasting music as he was lining fish after fish with a 15 foot float rod.

FF, that is my favourite colour combo for fall steelhead! Bet it would work decent for salmon too.

Wasn't to bad when I was there last weekend, besides for the odd hooligan using a spoon with powerboat on in two foot water,I didn't see MNR officers there useless they were undercover they sure would catch a lot of people and thin the crowd ;)

You won't know if you don't go. You need to stop asking all the time and just go and find out for your self. There is never a good or bad time , get out there and find them. Their in the system somewhere.

Yeah I know I should go out and learn it myself,I just never have the time or a drive so I come on here to make up for that but your 100 percent right with that.I guess I should have written that differently because I'm gonna go either way, sorry for all those questions just a bad habit I regret a lot of the time afterwards

Fresh fish will certainly be aggressive.

On the other hand A boot that's in two feet of water and been there for 2 weeks will would need the the hook dragged right over it to be caught

As soon as fish push into the rivers, they wont be going anywhere too quickly.

Its just a matter of finding them and finding fish that are active, if not move along and find more fish!

Always gives me a chuckle when I get asked...."seen any fish?" when i'm in the river fishing....
