Out East no good, water fast and high Duffin's to port hope, only one decent looking spot where the water was reasonable clear but I will not mention where.

Need to wait a few more days at least looks like. Major skunking this morning out east.

I was out friday to the huron tribs... and there all blown out... drove to port albert in the morning an ended up back in bayfield only one fish caught id give it a few days.

well i hear the river has clamed down a bit, i also hear they are catching big fish,

i think it is starting.....
has anyone heard anything about denneys dam?

All I've heard is that all the eastern tribs. are chuck full of fish.
Dam good news!
-Anyone planning on fishing thurs?... I have a distinct feeling that I will be sick and won't be able to work that day..

Looks like they called off the snow for Friday. I'm more worried about the effect of the snow on the ground melting throughout the week, they were only calling for 1mm of snow so that wouldn't have much of an effect. I'm heading down to a cottage in Southampton on Friday and ill be fishing the Saugeen and Sauble on sat and sun. Looks like its going to be a beautiful weekend, and if the water happens to clear up a bit the fish should be feeding like crazy after being in the dirty water for so long.

On a side note, if anyone can provide some insight on what flies to use that would be great. My current roster consists of a number of roe imitation flies, pink worm flies, some wooly bugger variations, a few leech flies with a red circle on the end giving the effect of a leech eating an egg, and a yellow minnow imitation fly. I am also thinking about heading up to the fishing store tonight after work to pick up a few large pink flies.

Ill be running these on 7lb tippet as the water is pretty dirty, ill also have 3.5lb on hand(i cant remember what the X is for these).

All in all im reasonably optimistic and excited to get out this weekend.

It was really tough fishing this weekend, the water was really high and dirty. I still managed to land myself a nice 5lb hen tho!!

Remember behind the embarkments, dont wanna be fishing alongside the poachers fishing up by the dam on the reserve side....

Wow. The river was good to everyone else but me. Lost two Didn't get to set the hook on one an one broke my line cus I was to lazy to change my lead with a not in it. Lol. Oh well there will be more Fish on Boyz
