I've seen some YouTube videos of people carp fishing under the skyway bridge in Hamilton /Burlington .. Anyone know good spots under the bridge ?.. I imagine there would be a lot of structure there where the boat cross ... Anyone catch bass around there I've seen carp videos only online .... Help sos

It's pretty straight forward. Drive down the service road and park. You can access some parts of the shoreline on the inner harbour side, but watch it as it can be a bit steep in places. I have only fished for Carp at this location.

What Mike says. Guys fish for trout and salmon on the lakeside of the pier under the bridge and fish for carp on the harbour side. Here's a tip. In early summer you can get into sheephead between 7 - 10 lbs on the harbour side throwing cleos and imitating a dying shad/alewife.The fishing there is very much dictated by the time of year. Trout in the spring, salmon in the early fall and carp in the summer. Hope this helps.

Im actauly going to be taking a trip down there in a hour or so, I will post a report when I get home. IF I do hook into a Goby, I should kill it right? 99% sure they are invasive

Gobies along the wall, drum in the summer, trout and salmon in the fall. Carp off the harbor side

FIshed for ~3 hours, one hit nothin else. However a guy 30 yards down from me landed a 2 pound salmon.

My first expereince salmon fishing ever, and I will be doing it again most deffinatly!

Yep kill the gobies
Yes die gobies die. smash their heads off a rock. And keep a plastic bag on you. Don't throw em back in the water dead.

Ive caught them in the summer and have thrown them on shore to find them alive still after an hour or more out of the water with the sun beating on them. I don't get it lol. When no rocks around I get my knife or scissors and cut their gulls.

^ sounds like perch during ice season... things keep flopping around on the cleaning board 8 hours later when they thaw

Hey yeah! That's insane we had that all the time when me and halmiltionangler94 went. we had a cooler and once we got back to my place to start filleting them they where still alive!!! I was shocked lol.

Alot more needs to go into public education, last year I was greeted by some very rude men while fishing at a public peier. They caught a gobie, used it as bait and thru it back into simcoe on a line.

I tried to explain to them that it was illegal, but they played the "no english" card as well were very hostile. Instead of risking our safety we called M&R and found another spot.

Lots of seagulls at the pier will eat those gobbies all up... Was at the Peir today no fish (to windy )but fishing world shop owner said a couple guys were caught on to some trout there both brown as well..

i heard a couple people were taking trout out of this area lately ..is that rare ??? and thats not on habourside i imagine ??? and comments on this for trout fishermen
