zone 17 south of HW 2 or cn rail tracks, which ever is closest to the lake, so once you get out to port hope you got about 200 yards of the ganny you can fish

I thought for all of durham county.. you have to be below the CNR bridge?

edit: im looking at the regulations right now, rainbow trout, brown trout, and Pacific Salmon Open all year- Regional Municipality of Durham all waters lying between the southerly limit of of the C.N.R. right-of-way and Lake Ontario.

so it seems to me CNR railway is the northern limit, no matter where highway 2 is.

correct me if i'm wrong, (just don't wanna see anyone get a ticket)

Below the CNR bridge is open all year long. The extended season (up to highway 2) applies until the last day of December. So right now, fishing above the CNR can = huge fine.

also im gonna be there saturday, it'll be a zoo, but i'll try and get there early and find a nice deep pool to fish

how is light rain for steelhead fishing? supposed to be light rain all day tomorrow

Yeah I seen that too and im hoping that the tribs dont get blown out.. that would be a waste of such a a nice day as saturday..
Then i'll have to wait anothe weekend with out chrome.... the shakes are coming on i need chrome...

I am about to post the pictures of today on the picture thread.also only one chrome out of so many fish, meaning new batch is not really in yet.

sorry for being such a noob but what do you mean by blown out?

I'm hoping the ice melts, today there was still ice on the humber river

Not sure about about other zones, but zone 16, most tribes are open all year for salmonids from lake Ontario to highway 2, highway 3, highway 403 or eglington, whichever is the most southerly large road/highway.
