I was able to make one for about $2. Mine does not have the weighted bait fish head in the center, but I did put a snap there for another bait. It looks like my baitfish are chasing another bait. The irony, trying to catch bass with a rig small fish get eaten by bigger fish. Have not tried it yet, will have to wait for next year. I'll post a pic later.

Fish thanks for posting cost of the rigs. I'd never pay over $10 for just chromed wire bend into shape, when I can do it cheaper myself.

haha im not either, just one of the fishing shows i was watching, some guys were using heavy action rods, or even musky rods to throw those rigs, heres a neat video

i have that rod, but am not selling it. the rod i have for sale is a much different rod and should not be used for this type of setup.

why that particular rod - well its proven to work very well with this setup. enough backbone to launch 4oz+
