Cool, are you posting a report?

Hmm... no I think I'll pass. I don't want to know your hidden secret.
Thank anyways.

i believe thats what it is called.

i would make a report but i have no pics. you can try it out i only went once and i wasnt dissapointed and my fish were small to some of the other ones ppl were catching. From guys i spoke to that have been there they are never dissapointed with the crappie fishing. Yes it is called niapenco.

Binbrook/Niapenco is ndeed filled with crappie-although as a boy living in Hamilton My family and I caught lots of small crappie ,pumpkinseeds and bullheads from the stone breakwaterjust off the gravel road heading down toward the lake.I've heard from other fisherfolk (that I've met there later as an adult) that very large pike(8-15 ibs) have been caught using what is now called a Euorpean type of a deadbait system.Moved away later but now I mght visit the family again and put in my first report.I have to check the regulations however on the legality of the dead-bait multihook quick strike rigs-I heard we in Ontario are only allowed 4 hookpoints per bait rig and anyways unlike those many years ago-Binbrook might be closed to angling during the spring spawn for pike and other gamefish. Wish me luck:wink:

i havent hear of 15lbs pike coming out of there but i hear they have nice pike fishing too. not motor boats though. im trying there for crappie soon and whne i do i will post my success in the report section lol. ( maybe i shouldnt jinx myself)

What can I say...fisherman do tend to exaggerate and those 2 guys that I stopped and chatted with years ago did have a nice good size pike already on the stringer (5-7 lbs maybe)-they said they have caught pike twice as big.Their English wasn't very good and so really couln't press them on details-hey i was only about 19 and was just thrilled at being able to take dad's car for fishing.I 'll probably try Niapenco but as a reference I have caught pretty big pike in a similar body of water at Valens and IIRC they are both impounded from the Grand river(?)Good luck.

it would be nice to catch a 10pounder at niapenco considering the size.
