This photo isnt very ultimate but the fish sure is. I couldn't believe how colored up this buck was. 30" and very fat, anyone have a weight estimate on a 30" fatter than normal fish?



The photo doesn't do it justice, shame there wasn't someone near by to take a pic for me. Could have made this fish look like a 20lber easily lol!

fatter than average 30" buck, 11-13lb max.

Ya I know for sure it was over 10 but the only steelhead i've ever weighed was 5 lbs so its hard to guess. I'm gonna have to start bringing my scale with me on the water to weigh fish in the new net I bought this afternoon.....that's four landing nets in two years, any wagers for how long this one will last?

@nado, take a tape measure and do the theocratical weight. There is a calculator online I think.

dealt with leaky waders, snow, rain, strong winds, putting my car in a farmers field LOL .... but hard fighting fresh chrome makes it all work it. seeing that snow got me thinkin about ice fishing though i must admit. was also nice to see SAIL put the ice huts on display. It wont be long!!!

Scale it off your rod butt, there's a formula length times girth times blah blah blah or something, beautiful color looks about 24"

It's kinda hard to tell from that picture, but I would guess it's at least 10lb.
