Took a trip down to the creek yesterday evening...

Found a great lil spot, loads of room to cast...
Was lucky enough to catch a couple of small Rainbows, always very exciting...

BUT THOSE DARN MOSQUITOS!!

I`m hoping that someone can give me any advice on what to use for a repellant, that`s safe to use while fishing...

On a better note, I had an awesome fishing experience!!
I`ll definitely be going back to that spot, no amount of pesky skeeters can stop this girl!

I use the spray Off insect repellant. It doesn't last long but then again I usually fish 4-6 hours which pretty much is how long the repellant lasts. besides I usually use a buff...

Look on Ebay for 100% Deet. Only legal in the states to sell to the public, if your lucky you can find what they issue to the U.S Army that stuff is amazing I had some but ran out. Nothing will touch you or come near you with that stuff on. Oh don't let it get on plastic things it will melt it or permanently stain it.

Wow sounds like lethal stuff lol

Nope, the one i have is actually made for summer fishing. the one in the picture might be something else, but that's how I wear my buff.

Anyone try the OFF cliip-on mosquito repellent?
I used it last year. Works pretty well except you have to stand in one spot for it to be most effective. You dont have to stand perfectly still, just generally in the same area. Once you move it takes a few minutes to rebuild the "sheild". I use this along with some spray for added protection and it works fine for me! Except there is no protection from those darn flies....

I just emailed Bluff to ask if they would send us some of their fish pattern head gear looks awesome.

Heres the US Army stuff its only 30% deet but works amazing.

Heres Bens this stuff is amazing, nothing will ever touch or come near you on the water and you don't need much at all. Remember don't get it on anything plastic or rubber it will stain or melt it.
