anybody ever do any fishing at flowrpot island? i am assuming there might be some nice pike action from shore, but i've never heard of anyone fishing there. i'm not certain it's allowed, but i don't see why it wouldn't be...

its almost impossible to fish, unless you're in your own boat, its a very popular tourist area, one side of the island, the one in the picture, is a popular swimming area on the island, the other side is some pretty rugged hiking, with a very steep shoreline, i have walked the entire island, takes about 2-3 hours. even if shore fishing is allowed, i wouldn't do it just due to the amount of people and kids around

been there a few times, absolutely gorgeous place...but I never saw any fishermen from shore. Like JMatt said, pretty hard to find any viable fishing spots from shore, especially because the rocks go FAAAR into the water, so youd have to cast impossibly far.

Me and my dad tried fishing from shore at the peninsula (where the boat that carries cars docks) All we got was two TINY gobys...sucked. lol

I wouldn't bother wetting a line at any of those islands, but the lakes over on the east side of GB seem to have some of the greatest warm water fishing around.

i think we may try one of the lesser known lakes, if it's not too shallow. there's a lake up there called scugog lake (no, not THAT one)

will fill everyone in....
