went out today.
headed out from class at 11 am. travelled to ontario place to see that it was still frozen, but everywhere else from ontario place to don river is ice-free. unfortunately, i couldn't find any adequate parking for some reason. all the lots that i came across were full! i then got upset, but decided to try leslie st spit. apparently they are only open to the public on weekends only. i then headed to ashbridges bay park.
casted for about 2-3 hours before calling it a day. didn't see any follows or any fish. spoke with an older gentleman who told me that someone pulled a pike out of there yesterday about 9lbs.
at least i got the feeling of casting again. had a few birdsnests with the curado, but eventually got the hang of it and it feels great.
hopefully i can try again this weekend.
