Hi all,
I am newcomer to the forum. This weekend (APR6) a buddy and I decided to check out the Island for the first time after hearing good things.
We are after pike and while cruising the canals a bit we spotted a baby northern! It was in the canals around algonquin. Later, we spotted some good sized carps in the channels around center island.
After getting a good lay of the land, I am still undecided where the best spot is to find pikes when it warms up. I like the little nooks around algonquin but I'm not sure if that's where I'll find them.
Scoped out the lagoons at the south of the Island by Long Pond and Gibraltar Lighthouse - it looks good. Any suggestions/hints for pike once we get some heat?
