Saw a flock load of turkeys on Saturday morning, off Wilmot line nearing Weimar line in Waterloo. Picture does not show them all.

cool never saw a flock of turkeys before, thanks for sharing. Looks like quite a few from the pic :D

Wow, i've never seen a flock over aout 8 turkeys, that's a big flock, thanls for sharing.

That's some lot of turkeys. They really have taken off ( pun intended :) ) since they were introduced or re-introduced in Ontario in the '80s.
I remember the first time I saw a wild Turkey. I was driving around dirt roads near Owen Sound looking for a stream that might hold Specks ( to no ones surprise, I'm sure.) It was the mid '80s and this huge bird ran out in front of my truck. I didn't know what the heck until a few days later when I read in a local paper that some wild Turkeys had been released in the area. Now they are everywhere.

Alfie.

There is place I drive past every day, and the flocks that I see there are huge. I know that I took pictures a few years back of a flock that was over 60 birds (zoomed the pictures to count because I couldn't believe it!). I'll have to see if I can find the pictures...it was amazing. Normally there are 30 or 40 birds there.

I live just on the edge of London and I often see large schools... Err packs... FLOCKS of turkeys in the area. If only they would step on my property. Self defence right? Mmm turkey.

:)

That's great to see. I just started hunting them last spring and it was great. Wild turkey is delicious.

Nice photo Salmo. I joined a friend on a turkey hunt once. Apparently my whistling does not sound like a robin and will not go undetected... no turkey dinner for us... :D
