Filled many a tackle box harvesting during Salmon run.

Sounds like a sweet combo. I played with a revolution this past fall and it felt very well made.
.

Thanx, the revolution def is a nice piece of equipment. Not to knock any other reels, I just wanted a reel that's a bit different than what you see every day. The combo balances out nicely as well. Now just need to hook a victim for the real test!

Got me a whole new setup!
Fenwick HMG 7' 2 pc med fast action
Daiwa Lexa 2500 spinning reel
Some PVC to make a rod tube
and about $100 worth of crank baits, spinners, swim baits, grubs, 6 lb flouro line, leaders, weights ect
still need to replace my crappy old tackle boxes though

Hey Pump,
Do you find the spawn sac floaters make a huge difference with snags and more hook ups?
I feel dumb now because I was just at the shop the other day looking at them, and now I'm about to get started tieing sacs

Sac floaters are used for bottom fishing with a sinker. Don't use those floaters if you plan on float fishing with a bobber.

Not today but at Gagnons yard sale I did my part. Waders, floats, hooks, line, swivels, roe, worms, plastic worms and a gift card for my sons BD. Another $400 for the passion.

I like it Just I should have checked for specific flies I wanted to tie. Good entry level and good book with it to
