why condoms ???? they aren't used for salmon and trout right

I'm guessing he's tying Vladi Worms. They use a piece of condom for the body.

Got a RIO Grand 6wt line, but it's a full size heavy for fast action rods. Hoping it helps chucking bigger flies and rigs on the 6wt. Anyone use this line? Will be trying it out tomorrow!

....

I got me a muddler minnow along with some flies - mostly nymphs -

Also got two new bead patterns, a bit of tippet and a 16.5ft of fly line leader.

Box cutters would have been nice, but instead of buying the equipment to snap logans' line, I bought myself a good time.

New RIO leaders. Mine were getting really worn out. Got 4X, 5X and 6X. All ready for the resis up in the headwaters now.

It shows the diameter, so the higher the number, the thinner the tippet will be (5x is thinner than 4x, etc.). It should also say the lb test strength and the actual diameter on the pack, so I normally just go by that. Same thing with tippet spools.

@pump, here's a few more if you know the size of flies you are using...

I will give you a shout if I ever fish your area. I have some flies for you to try.

I didn't know it was that complicated.

Yesterday I went fly fishing for carp and managed to go 1 for 6. Then I went practicing my casting and caught a small pike on a white streamer.

I gotta check what tippet I'm currently using.

It isnt, most of the time I just go off gut, no need for fancy charts when you've got the killer instinct

Pump it is easy to match up, just divide fly size by 3 and that will get you your tippet size ex: size 12 fly divided by 3 = size 4 tippet etc..etc...
