WHAT DID YOU BUY TODAY? FISHING PURCHASES

Ontario Fishing Forums

Help Support Ontario Fishing Forums:

These Storm Baits, I got from Bass Pro Shops on sale. I tried them and they work for perch, but I haven't tested them extensively. I plan on using the larger jumbo plastic fish lures for testing if they work on Musky. Of course, I still need to practice. I had a Bass take one too, like it ambushed it out of the weeds in front of me... I also got my aerotor, fish weight scale, bobbers, hooks, and fishing nets from Bass Pro Shops, in addition to t shirts and caps. Their unique item are THE BOATS!!!!! And they have the environmentally friendly nonlead sinkers. AND Fish museum display live well with many beautiful trophies :) Unfortunately, they don't do Taxidermy, but will accept donations of large fish into the tank, I don't know how that works.

My favourite rod and reel brand is QUANTUM. However I do also have some Rapala, Shimano, and Abu Garcia Rod and Reels. I lend them to my friends when we go together. They don't have their own gear. I get my braided line from Bass City.

Cheap affordable Waders - If I recall correctly, it's from Walmart.ca for $30 + tax. I returned the first one because it was leaking water, but the 2nd was alright and I used it last year. I will use if I fish near river, a member said to wear it to prevent red ants from climbing up your legs. I don't know if they still stock it, this was last year I think. It was an online only item. You can't find it in the store. Funniest thing was i found out i can stand into the shoreline of a clean lake with shallow water in slippers, but for rivers and to prevent from fire ants, waders are necessary.

If you know any good gear to recommend me and any sales, let me know. I don't see much Red Flag Deals on fishing gear often.

I' am currently trying to find a deal on the DEEPER fish finder item on Amazon. Not that I need it, but maybe to see if it makes a difference in unknown waters.
