Just a question for everyone to see what people are wearing under there waders.

Myself: In warmer weather light nylon shorts and regular socks, Cold weather i wear North Face Under garments and A good quality wool sock.

Winter, I've been wearing long johns, two pairs of roots track pants and thermal socks from mark's or sportchek. Rest of the year I wear sports track pants and cotton ankle socks, shorts if I can get away with it.

I'm the same as you in the summer, Bow_Man. In the winter I usually where long johns, a fleece pant, and then another pair of track pants over that. For my feet, I'll usually where 2-3 pairs of warm socks.

up until christmas I was wearing womens leggings designed for cold weather underneath one or two pairs of fleece pyjama's. At christmas I got a pair of fleece leggings designed for men.Let me tell you after going a couple seasons without the hole in the front, you really learn its true value.

WOMEN LEGGINGS?!?!?! Sensed there was something different about you lately LOL

Winter - thermals, sweatpants, quality wool socks

Summer - in headwater streams where the water is cold I rock waders with thin, light pants to prevent the chafe because if I don't I'll go through my chapstick pretty quick. Also protects me from stinging plants, bugs and thorns. Warm water - water mocs and swim trunks. Bring on the warm weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COMMANDO!!!!

Pretty much what NADO (minus the women leggings lol) and troutddicted wear for both seasons. I find that a good thick pair of cotton jogging pants for the winter over my multiple layers of thermals does the trick in the winter. Summer - A good, light pair of basketball shorts under the waders.

thermal underwear and shorts on 0 to -5. if it's -10 and a below...thermal underwear and sweatpants...on breathables of course. I can imagine boiled eggs if you wear the same underneath neoprenes.

in the winter, long johns followed by fleece layer followed by another fleece layer(depending on temperature ill lose a fleece layer). a pair of socks for each layer with the pants tucked into the sock. then wading socks over top so the foot piece slides easily on and off.
if im on ice ill even wear a insulated slush pant over the actual waders just to keep slush and ice from freezing up on the waders. was told that freezing water on the seams can stretch or compromise the seal.

in the summer depending how hot it is, just boxers or some ball shorts and wading socks. if a lot of walking is involved ill put some long thin pants on tucked into a wading sock just to avoid chafe. underarmor Heatgear pants or the similar knock-offs are great for the hot days when you need the extra coverage and dont want to feel like youre wearing a furnace.

i bet those thermal womens leggings do a nice job but i cant speak for the comfort ;)

Lol womens leggings are like long johns on steroids, they are from a ski shop though so not your typical leggings. I was on the hunt for a warm base layer and after several stores all I was able to find was a womens model so I said screw it and bought them. The mens model at christmas this year was a much welcomed surprise though, almost as good as the day I got zip up waders.

TC i'm picturing the ***less chaps version of waders with more hair than a yedi to go along with that thong

Marks has " DriWear." 2 layers and a pair of track pants is good in most situations to minus 20. My feet never trouble me with 2 pair of cotton socks as long as the boot isn't too tight.
Tight boots or clothes hamper your circulation which can cause you cold problems.
Lol. 30 years ago I fished the 'geen in Feb in 5 pairs of thermals, I had medium, large and xl to allow air flow and circulation.
Hands always been my prob, but I suffer that.

Alfie.

under my simms breathables I wear a full layer of merino followed by a couple layers of cotton then heavy wool. I can stand up to my waist is December all day long. Real sheep wool is my hands down favorite thing in these cold months

Long johns and proper merino wool socks that is knee high, some bass pro EC3 thermals for top amd im comfortable already, everything has to be breathable to me otherwise i end up either stinky or sweaty! LOL!!!
