so the mentally challenged can catch fish! Spent the weekend at the mother in laws who happens to live across the road from the boat launch on one of my favorite walleye lakes, we didnt fish there as i didnt take any gear or the boat. We took an hour long bush walk back to a remote lake with the dogs and fished with 5' zebco spincast rods, red and white plastic bobbers and baitholder hooks. Having brought no tackle and or bait we gathered worms and turned over rocks in a nearby creek to catch small crayfish. We caught a few decent bass in the 1-2 lb range and had a bigger one actually break a hook. It was really nice getting back to good old tymey fishing but next time my canoe goes and so does my casting gear.
