    Carp 2014

This is a great thread.:) FYI Tons of carp are caught on centrepin outfits. The biggest carp I have personally seen ( I netted it) was caught on a centrepin outfit. Float fishing is deadly for carp. If you can land salmon on one you can land carp. Carp generally are not line shy here. Ask...

    Skyway bridge fishing

    New Guy

Welcome and I think carp are hard fighters too. Cats are great fun too. Dunneville on the Grand river all the way down to Port Maitland is a great place for early season channel cats.

Quick and easy floats for carp

Ditto what Christopher said. Carp take the bait differently than most of the fish we catch here. You set up your float rig so that the bait is laying on the bottom. The carp suck up the bait . They can do this vigorously or very gently. and they generally pause swimming when they do this. So...

    Old fart here

Don't forget about carp. If you are fishing catch and release , they are a great fish for you. To start out all you need is a can of corn for bait. Good luck or Tight Lines as we anglers say.

Quick and easy floats for carp

Float fishing is a very effective technique for catching carp. There are a large variety of floats used made mostly in Europe and Asia. Most tend to be elongated. They are usually not available in your average multi species tackle shop. So I made a couple up from some very common materials...
