    Single Eggs

as CJR said, beads. or if you really prefer to shank them right on the hook, Hook Line & Sinker in Guelph (maybe other places too?) sells Bio D'eggs. you put the little pellets in water until they grow to their full size. salt them, let them sit in salt until they shrink to desired size...

    felt soles

how would he benefit from Simms? Sounds like he needs the Korkers with swappable soles!! LOL jk OP studs will do the trick. 'creepers' would work too, although i find the studs on them are usually pretty tiny and not all that useful.

    Wading Jacket

i just bought a frogtoggs wading jacket from bass pro a couple of weeks ago for $49.99. it's the first wading jacket i ever bought. it's made of an odd material, but what i like about it is it is light, so i can wade in it on rainy spring days and not die from sweating, or i can layer up...

    Some tips and tricks

great tips! and a great idea for a thread, no doubt about it. i always maintained the position that with float fishing, line on the water was to be avoided. maybe it's just where i fish, but i see guys float fishing where their line is floating on the surface a mere 10 feet from their rod tip...

    maxima fluorocarbon,opinions?

just remember when looking at line ratings, some times the truth is in the diameter of the line and not whatever bogus rating the company affixes to it. for example, the maxima may be the same rating as the drennan, but the drennan is a thicker line. you get the idea

    maxima fluorocarbon,opinions?

drennan's good, i run 5.5 for steelies in regular water, and sometimes will go down to 4.5 raven for clear streams. the raven is also good IMO. the drennan is my go-to though.

    seriously

There were 15 cars parked at my usual GB haunt. walked in, told the girlfriend "count the guys at this first pool" 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6...you get the idea. next pool about 45 second walk down the path, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11... 15 minutes of bushwhacking and not a soul for as far as the eye can see. and...

High Vis + Leader: Best Combination

In this scenario I do one of two things. Using the mono for a shot line lets me slide the shot around pretty easily without damaging the line too much just make sure you don’t pinch it on too tight. I also have a special plier tool which I purchased from CPC that makes it easy to remove...

    trout beeds....

i stumbled across this method last year when i had first started fishing with beads. only difference is i put the bead a little further up my leader. i've had good luck on this kind of rig and im a firm believer in using the bead as an "attractor" and typically will use it for a good number of...

High Vis + Leader: Best Combination

Well this is what my setup looks like Mainline -> float (on mainline) -> 1gr. shot to cock the float -> micro swivel -> 2.5ft – 3ft shot line (usually 8lb trilene moss green) -> micro swivel -> 24 – 30” fluoro leader To minimize down time in the event I break off my shot line, I always...
