    Do worms only catch panfish?

You're going to need more than a worm to get a good sized pike let alone a musky.

Tips and good fishing spots at centre island

Mix it up, don't just toss and retrieve. Burn it for a short distance and let it flutter down to the bottom. Add some jerks to it. let the fish tell you what they want whether it be a slow crawl near the bottom or a fast burn on the surface. Nope.

Tips and good fishing spots at centre island

Look for some youtube videos on how to fish spinners. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it. As for live bait, I dont usually fish with it so I'm not too sure either.

    Goby invasive?

Im pretty sure anything that looks like a goby on the islands is an actual goby. The islands are completely packed with them. If you fish too close too the bottom with worms, its practically all you'll get.

Tips and good fishing spots at centre island

Fish around structure, docks and the bridges. Pike and bass are easily caught with some spinners. You're probably going to lose all your bait through smaller fish if you're using a worm on a bobber.

    About the baitcaster

I've never had to deal with shimano for repairs or anything as their products have never broken on me. With that said, I can't really give an unbiased suggestion on the revo or the curado as I personally like shimano. Like I said before, just use whichever hand you are used to using and what...

    About the baitcaster

Theres a lot of opinions on which side you should have your reel handle on, but just get the one you're most comfortable with. For example, I'm right handed and I like to reel with my right hand so my handle is on the right. If you're just starting with a baitcaster I would suggest starting...

    Strange Catch in Lake Couchiching

I've also caught one on toronto islands before. Definitely not fun. Mine was hooked bad so i couldn't cut the line. I actually got it unhooked 3 times, but when i went to release it, it came back and tried to eat the lure again... Wasn't fun spending half an hour trying to get hooks out of...

    Pike tips?

Those mepps black fury spinners work great. Most of the time, I find oversizing my lures to be a lot more productive for pike. For example, I usually use muskie killer black fury spinners and catch more than if i used a regular size 5.

    Dogfish

I think those guys may have mistaken it for a snakehead. They look similar and are invasive.

    Best fighting fish

Bowfin is my number one for sure. Even better than a smallie.

What to do with.that extra 10-20 yards

Keep it in your tackle box along with some super glue. It comes in handy as an temporary emergency rod tip fix so you don't have to stop fishing.

Pike and Bass - Any way to target one and not the other?

Like blair said, its hard to completely avoid bass, but you can always switch to bigger baits and lures to lower your chances. I've gone up to 12" suicks and pike will still hit them as if they were undersized minnows.

Which colour of braid to use

I usually do hi vis yellow unless im trying to go for carp, then i switch to moss green spool. Some say the yellow being more visible will scare off fish, but then again, I wouldn't want to be catching those small fry anyways.

    Toronto Island Carp

Majority of carp cruise around the centre bridge and the "swan" pond, that small pond the miniature train drives around. I don't know if there will be space to go flying there though. The ton of spectators and overhanging trees might not provide enough space.

    Toronto Island Carp

Awesome catch blair. I was the one in purple that kept running into you LOL. I must've left before you hooked into that one.

    Toronto Island Carp

Worms? No wonder I dont get anything, I've been using corn the whole time...

    Toronto Island Carp

Awesome! If you don't mind me asking, how did you fish them? I've never had luck with carp on the islands, though I always see people pulling them out all around me.

    Toronto Island

So by the ferry side side right? I noticed there was a ton of rocks off to the side but was never able to get anything there.
