I have a plastic box especially made for spinnerbaits, you kind of "hang " your baits one next to the other..blades on one side, skirts on the other. You can get 7 or 8 in it. The normal size ones seem to fit OK, My bigger pike spinnerbaits don't really fit though.

I know some fish will eat anything... but they do look kinda cheep... They should try to make them look more lifelike. Interesting idea though... I must agree

I have a nice vegetable garden in my backyard I have to take care of on a regular basis, so I guess you could call it a hobby..... I have tomatoes, green beans, carrots, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, some pumpkins, strawberries, rhubarb...and a half dozen giant sunflower plants... It's a nice way...

I agree with the earlier the better (in season).. the big ones are easier to get in the spring, usually once the summer hits, we just get a lot of "hammer handles"

I've used zara spooks a bunch. They do work good for pike. I always used the silverish ones. I've fished with the Zara puppy too but with less sucess, it's harder to fish with.

The only other thing you haven't mentionned are the spark plugs.. did you make sure they were firing? and if you can smell the gas.. maybe it was flooded.. that's what I would check,
