Thanks for all your work-I live in Stouffvile and want to fish the surrounding area and apparently Musselman's Lake just north on Ninth line is virtually all private property-land ,water,surface of water and under the water-I surely don't want to be fined by someone reporting me.apparently good...

IIRC the quality reels have a basic maintenance pamphlet with the reel itself 8) and some even a a little bottle of lube oil.However 2 tips are to clean off all gunk from reel ,wipe down and always loosen the drag on spinning reels until the next trip.

Meat is actually white and firm and if prepared properly.. ..maybe very difficult to distinguish from walleye or pike...however they are like suckers in havinga downward pointing mouth and do feed off the bottom(not garbage -IIRC mollusks,small fish,insects etc)-good fighters and easily caught...
