At 12lbs, what is the mono with the least memory?

Awe, Klicky, baby, we're all friends here. Tell you what, because you're such a swell guy, I'll by some of that neat-o float line you love so much and stick it in my baitcaster. okie dokie? xoxo xoxo

At 12lbs, what is the mono with the least memory?

To paraphrase Mr. Klik: "Buy a discontinued product and learn to love it because I say it is the smart buy! I am right because I used my spare time to do a google search!" Klik, I am starting to think you have no idea what you are talking about. Go back to playing with your float reels.

At 12lbs, what is the mono with the least memory?

I would disagree with that statement. A lot of guys use mono in baitcast reels. In fact, you should use mono for cranks, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, twitchbaits, topwater plugs, etc. that need a bit of stretch and give. Not to mention it manages well in a baitcast. I do agree braid excels in...

At 12lbs, what is the mono with the least memory?

I can vouch for Suffix Elite having lower memory and good knot strenght. Not sure what type of reel you are using, but I would not recommend raven for a spinning setup. It is pretty much limited to pin reels... unless thats what youre rocking. Then you should be using it! :)

New G Loomis IMX Steel/Salmon Rods Announced

I am not saying these rods are hot air. If I had the bills to drop on one of these sweethearts, I'd be waiting in line with you just based on the G Loomis reputation alone. I'm just saying a machine beating up a rod with numbers and buzz words I don't understand means nothing without some dude...

New G Loomis IMX Steel/Salmon Rods Announced

Yo! Muskybait, Fortunately you wrote a shorter post that didn't use big numbers and words so I was able to understand your point this time. With that said, I fully agree with you that these rod strength demonstrations are complete hot air just to push a product. Say, speaking of "keep the...

New G Loomis IMX Steel/Salmon Rods Announced

Dont you love it when you make a little joke and some know-it-all comes along and throws the school books in your face? lol It's ok guy, we get it, rod loading is based on simple physics which we know you studied in full. To the rest of us, big fish fully loading a rod = wow you should have...

Help picking out new rod and reel

I am glad you asked because yes. Yes, I have fished both a BPS branded rod and several Browning rods, which BPS manufactures under license. They are fine for amateur hour, but they do not even rank entry level as far as quality goes. No offense if that is what you are fishing. I am sure they...

    Wet Wading Footwear?

Sometimes I wonder about the staff at SAIL. They never have good advice and always try to talk you out of smart purchases. Never ask them for their advice ever. Personally I would go with your idea. Those neoprene socks + wading boots are perfect for wet wading. Theres a lot of hiking and...

Help picking out new rod and reel

I wouldn't buy anything with the BPS logo, browning or anything else BPS makes under licensing. Whats up with all these huge salmon and pike rods? 6'6, medium, 2-piece, put it in the trunk and up to the cottage for some perch, wallye and bass. It will play a small pike off the bluffs too...

    new baitcaster combo!!!

You are man of good taste...I own three St. Croix casting rods (mojo bass and premier) all equipped with AG reels. You will be happy with your setup. Don't be afraid to go up to 40 - 50lb braid if the 20lb is binding and fraying on you. Judging by the background and the nice pike in that...

    DIY Spinners?

Anybody have experience making their own spinners? I can't see it being too hard, but if there is any advice about tools, wire diameter, and other details, I am all ears.... and post 'em up if you made 'em. :) Thanks

Favourite fish to catch and why.

I tried my luck at pike fishing last year and I have to say they are now my favorite. Had some pretty intense fights. Some my favorite plugs are scarred for life lol. The way a pike hits a lure, it is almost bone shattering. Smallmouth are fun too. They have the fight, but don't destroy...
