Hmmm...that might work for me and the boy!...No auger though...might have to change that!
If you want to use mine, your more than welcome. If you've never used one I'll be happy to show you!

Appreciate it gents! I've used a dirt auger before but that's it...though I imagine the principal is the same!

ok, the amount of people in on this thread has impressed me, if there is safe ice for cars to drive on the ice, or at least park, ill be there for sure, if not, ill park off 9th line, looking forward to it!

cool it should be a good time!

wait wait wait, you're telling me you have machines after we nearly died of exhaustion trying to get that hut off the lake?? lol

we are gunna insure a couple older sleds this year.

That day sure sucked

Not a sleeper hut just a heavy one and a bunch of gear with snow drifts almost waist deep that formed during the day,
To top of a exhausting hike we all had $100 dollar parking tickets on our cars.

Can someone pm me some gear that I should bring? or maybe post it here?
I mean tackle and lure suggestions, etc

I have a general idea but some suggestions wouldn't hurt
ill be on foot and don't want to pack too much

looking forward to this!
thanks

Will you be bringing your own rods and stuff or looking to borrow? I run 4lbs test on all my rods and only up it to 6lbs for bigger Lakers and fish. For perch, some small Jigging spoons, Small Jiggin Raps, And some smaller jigheads. A hook and sinker tipped with minnow, wax worm etc will also work just fine. With perch MOST of the time experimenting with any of those will produce fish.

2 rods (its legal to use 2 rods while ice fishing)

Terminal tackle

Perch lures and jigs

Bait (Minnows, Wax worms) I have one extra minnow bucket. If some guys wanna split the cost of minnows and use the same bucket be my guest.

Auger (Optional) I'll lend mine out.

Ice Scoop (Optional) I'll lend mine out.

Its pretty simple fishing, some guys will use a sonar, but I personally dont have one and use Trial and Error to find my fish.

Thanks CA , I will be bringing my own rod I just don't want to bring a bunch of crap I wont end up using.. im gonna do some shopping soon and needed a good list and this will do just fine!

only thing ill need to borrow is an auger and I don't mind sharing a bucket with someone and going in on some minnows, if the lures aint doing it
