I think most posters are only trying to inform and educate in the hope that some conservation methods sink in. To the original poster, the problem with worms especially with small fish is they take them deep and injuries although not intended, occur. If indeed you are fishing Upper C some areas are single barbless.
I was even fishing with plastic pink worms and they were smashing it.they actually mashed up the pinkies until it strewed up in pieces. Where i was fishing its opened until sept 30. I know the rules. I am not the vulture kind of fisherman I was born in a fishermans home. I know how to respect nature.

If you think you didn't break any rules, well and good. Nobody knows what you really fish for. Just be careful because the MNR staff around credit are very touchy about this subject. Nobody can tell you where to fish and not to fish. Atlantic Salmon survival is a bit tacky right now, hence, they close season for how many years now?
Thank you for a better and acceptable comment.IF everyone comment like this then we all can get along fine.. everyone would share their personal info and experience but unfortunately it cant happen

It looks very strange for me that I am fishing these areas for the first time in my entire fishing life and no one has discovered these fishes yet. Its right behind our houses, in our back yard so to speak. I literally live 10-20 mins drive from this place. All u guys need to do is do some research. mark out a specific place u never fished before, do some leg work and u will definitely discover wht i found and u will find more too. If everyone keep fishing the same old places over and over and over, then u will only make assumptions when some one discovered new places loaded with fish as being in a restricted zone. I do my research before i hit a new river every time. I gather local knowledge and theoretical info and then i spend the whole days walking and discovering. The upper C watershed is so huge that there is no one on this forum has fished even quarter of it.

Lol. Some people just need to take a deep breath. Appreciate the passion in this subject, but lets not throw accusations.

Ok. Just refreshed myself on Zone 16 regs: looks like Atlantics are closed year round. Never ran into this myself so it is a good time to get educated.

Basically, no targeting them and if you do hook up, quick ASAP releases. Another reason for a good trout net and best C&R practices if you are fishing stretches where the MNR truck made a drop off of Atlantics.

Needless to say, they are pretty fish and do share the same habitat as the grand stream prize, the brook trout.

Don't be afraid to fish those waters with single-pinched barbed hooks on spinners. They are the most C&R friendly baits and work solid if you fish them right... and don't forget to check the special notes in the regs: the Upper Credit area is single-barbless-artifical-bait only... no worms.
Thank You very much for the advises. this portion is still opened until sept 30.

Sorry bud but u still dont know certain areas on the credit watershed. I have maps and locations of every single creek that originates from the main credit river in every single village and town upstream. Where i was fishing its still part of the fishing areas like regular trout season places. here it is to remind everyone. chk it yourself and correct me if i am wrong.
Credit River and tributaries - from
the south side of the Britannia Road
bridge in the village of Streetsville,
upstream to the south side of the
Old Baseline Road bridge, town of
Caledon, Regional Municipalities of
Peel and Halton,

Fish sanctuary - no fishing from
Jan 1 - Fri. before 4th Sat. in Apr.
Actually I did say it was still open season. And you should go back and check your facts. What you posted is only a portion of the regulations for the credit. Portions are open all year, other sections close August 15th and others close September 30th.

So continue what you are doing and say hi to Mitch to CO when he stops you.

the post will be going down tomorrow and i will stop bother u know it all fishing folks. I wouldnt even start a thread anymore with my discoveries. Will just enjoy my fishing and keep it all to myself. And by the way. I fish alone with no friends and families.Have a good day.

Ya cause apparently you know it all. As can be seen by the truncated regulations you posted and believe to be the the only ones that apply.

And he may not go where you go, but he will be at your car when you return
