Today was big carp day!, got a couple more smaller ones, but these two thirties were such a rush! What a battle these things put out. Incredible outing!!! 33.5lbs on this beast

If you look back a couple pages, OCD is using the same net.

It made me think I can land a carp in it too.

You need to be careful when landing a carp in a net. Carp will make most nets disintegrate unless you land it properly. I fold down my net entirely if Im lifting with the net and using the two net-arms, and main shaft to grunt all the weight. Fold down nets are almost a must for landing big carp.

But I use a sling too so... I really just use the net to control the fish into the sling. Then use the sling to deal with the weight of the fish.

Carp are big strong and sometimes mean fish guys, you need to bring enough ammo to battle them properly...
