For your pheasant tails tail should be the length of the hook, measure your wingcase/legs to the length of the hook shank that way when you fold them over they are half the length of the shank, also don't cut the PT fibres. Klink looks ok, but shorten the post. With the reverse tied fly finish your fly on the hair, don't build a head infront. And don't cut your marabou on the poppers! Now let's see the next ones :)

what does the underlined mean

also the poppers need to be a certain size...is there a way of cutting it so it doesnt look cut with out cutting from the other end--i want a certain part of the feather to be used

When you fold the bucktail back and tie it down whip finish on the hair instead of building a second head in front. And for the marabou, find good quality stuff that has even tips.

I was attempting to tie my first adams, and it came out like this….lol was having trouble tying in the hackle for the collar/wing area

Well, it might nowrk for bluegill, but they'll hit a bare hook lol. Show a side view and try the hackle again, let's see what you've got!

Body looks good, tail's a few fibres too heavy, while it is acceptable to have 1 or 2 wraps of thread under the tail to prop it up you have a lot under it. Also, don't cut the legs, measure them beforehand so you are left with only what you need. That said that fly will still catch fish!
