Hi all, new to the forum...

Been reading for the past couple months in my research of places to fish close to where i live; awesome content! Keep it coming.

Looking forward to reading and contributing more as i get more experienced. Always been interested in fishing, just never really started until this summer at a cottage on a Kawartha lake; totally exhilarating.

Got me a 6.5' medium action Ugly Stik GX2 spinning combo with 8lb test. Trying to arm myself with enough tackle to handle the various conditions/situations out there. Sticking to the smaller game for now until i get my confidence up to got after bigger guys.

So far i've landed a whole whack of Perch and one Bluegill (coulda been a Green Sunfish, the blue-green blotches were super vibrant). Whoohoo!

Tight lines!

Welcome! New here as well!! Good luck trying not to spend money on new lures... its fun buying new gear haha

Welcome! Fishing brings a lot of benefits. This site will serve you a lot of purpose. From techniques, styles and how to save yourself $$$ as tackles don't always come cheap.

Howdy - where abouts are ya from? Lots of folks hook up from the site

Thanks guys! My bass pro gear list is growing bigger and bigger by the day ;) Stoked for Stony Lake this weekend! Bass, meet worm.

I'm from East Toronto upper beach area, basically Toronto-Scarborough border. I try and get out once a week and cover the water bodies closest to me. East or West doesn't matter, just wanna familiarize myself with them all first then understand how to fish them after.

Cool, tight lines!

Welcome to the forums! Usually where you catch lots of Perch you can catch some walleye or pike in the area! (Just a matter of timing in the day and season!) I'm surprised you haven't caught any bass either! I'm not sure where you fish or what you use but if PM me I don't mind sharing some tips!

Good to know, nice tip! Thanks for this @thetalloutdoorsman. I will take you up on it ;)

I recently got to go up to Stony Lake for my second fish on a real lake and landed a good variety of fish inc., SM/LM Bass. Very cool! See here: http://www.ontariofishingforums.com/forum/topic/27047-heading-up-to-stony-lake/
