They have a clutch and they stall very easily very easily. They dont go into first without a clutch. And they are no longer auto in any way. They have a systen that overrides the driver if he misshifts so the $1000000 motor doesnt blow. Nascar are 4 speeds with a tranny out of an old snowblower. I have been watching F1 for 25 years and have been to monza monaco usa and Montreal many times. All good love nascar for the wrecks

a system that overrides the drivers mistake? that doesnt sound to challenging then does it just like i said earlier the cars drive themselves thanks for proving my point . if i had that much downforce and hundreds of gadgets and sensors to keep me straight on the race track and keep me from overreving id race f1 too. dont worry bud maybe f1 will be popular one day and those pussy drivers might make as much money as nascar drivers and then you wont have to troll a nascar thread with your f1 bloodclot mumbo jumbo.

nascar has almost the same leves of downforce just an FYI--and they can also be controlled from the pits if necessary(drvier override)--the gearing is sequential---there isnt 3 feet between gears like nascar--there is a human factor that might make them misshift-and another note for your bloodclot mumob jumbo--top f1 drivers make more money than nascar drivers ever will---look it up--shumacher was on the top five list of highest paid athletes on the planet---never has a nascar driver been on that list---not even the king--ricky bobby...lol i am not sure if you have driven an open wheel racer but the g force on your body would shred the ole' chevy malibu to pieces....driver assist in a failure scenario is not "drive itself" its the same safety mechanism that makes the rule in nascar where they can spit chew while they drive 200mph in a circle with foam to thier right and a 1979 checy impala to thier right...and it doesnt override mistakes--learn how to read--misshift not mistake--mistakes are met with an ambulance...

lol ALMOST the same level yet the cars weigh how much more? im not just talking race winnings i mean endorsements too, no f1 driver can be in as many commercials and make as much extra $$$$ as a nascar driver because they arent as influential, nobody cares about them and im not sure why you do lol what is this override in nascar your talking about that allows them to spit chew while while racing? Ive got the nascar bonus channels that include real time uncut commercial free incar driver cams for the whole race and have never seen this? all ive seen was 43 cars fighting for position and redlining the piss out of a v8 right up to almost 10k rpm for 4 hours straight and 99% of the cars can take it too unlike a 70's malibu that would poop conrods after about 2 minutes lol and ive seen mishifts in nascar before and unlike in f1, it costs the driver alot of track position and sometimes causes the motors to grenade so the drivers have more to worry about. the British guys from top gear even agree f1 has alot to learn from nascar and those guys know their stuff. and for the record, nascar runs 3 road courses a year for any ignorant people who think its just driving in a perfect circle. o one more thing, unlike f1 and indy car, nascar drivers rely 100% on aerodynamics, drafting and taking extreme risks to make passes on the race track. those f1 and indy GIRLS rely on a button that either increases the revlimiter a set amount of rpm to allow more power or relieves the car of a bit of drag allowing it to travel faster, seems like those guys are just playing a video game to me and relying on technology to race and not skill

After looking at both of your profile pics, I have to declare that remyboy1 looks far stronger and more athletic  ...plus you can never discount that old man strength. lol, sorry red

Or.....you could both join the C&R tourney and have a side pot

yup, shamelessly advancing my own needs.

F-1 racing is far more popular than NASCAR, which is only popular within north america don't think nascar has ever had a race in europe, F-1 is extremely popular with european and south american fans where the drivers are treated like royalty

sounds good i need some extra gas/beer $$ for my trip to Michigan for the june race anyway  spending an f1 fans money would just make the beer taste that much better and the gas fumes smell that much sweeter haha

exactly its a foreign sport and almost nobody in north america cares about it so why discuss it on a nascar (domestic sport) thread? that would be like a bunch of guys talking about soccer on the superbowl thread, the posts are completely irrelevant and just ruining a thread I made about the daytona 500 for nascar fans. you guys wanna talk f1 go talk it on your own thread and talk about how the drivers rely almost exclusively on a button to make passes lol

Well I can't speak for remyboy or anyone else, I was just kidding around because the argument was getting a little heated.

I would, however, be down to subsidize your gas bill with some side pots...especially during the bass leg(s) of the C&R classic lol

haha sounds good, too bad winters almost over an ice tourny would be awesome!

Yah that's true. Ice is still plenty thick out here but probably not much time left. I'll try and get out a few more times but I've definitely already got my sights on open water...

x2 this is gonna be my first year not being stuck on shore i cant wait haha im dieing to get that boat wet!

Can't blame you for being excited... I don't have a motor but even just a canoe gives you access to so many more spots.

i dont have a motor either i dont think im running the 4.5 merc i dont wanna risk anything, im just gonna throw some beefy oarlocks and oars on it and get er done the old fashion way haha

Hands down the best racing is the check out at the Walmart on Mavis road. Those that are fresh off boat will mow you down with their carts at closing time on a Fridayy night, whoa buddy! Costco has some good cart action and let me remind both F1 and Nascar fans no power assist or seatbelts... :p

exactly for people here nascar is like the NFL---but for the other 98% of the planet nascar is what you do on the weekends at the fair with your granpas old buik F1 is like football aka soccer in that same 98% of the planet other than north america it is huge but most cant even name a euro team here.
and if you travel outside of shomberg and travel worldwide---you will see that the endorsements are FAR greater for F1 drivers and most driver could pool together thier money and buy a NASCAR team...and when i say income i mean with endorsements shumi was one of the highest paid athletes of all time...and now fernando alonso is one ...all the guys that cant cut it or are too old head over to the good ole USA and get "put out to racing pasture " by driving a nascar.
