My name is Debra. I have fished since I was very young. Now we live right on the marina...

I CANNOT WAIT to go fishing, I am only steps away from the (fishing) water!!!!!

Two things I forgot to add, even though this is an Ontario site I intend on sending this to my uncle a comple Fishing nut, he lives in Sussex UK. And I too find out about this on RFD. I am quite happy to be here thanks!

Hello everyone! I'm Joshua from Toronto and I've only started my fishing career a couple years ago. I enjoy the thrill of reeling in a nice sized bass and just viewing the scenary of the great outdoors makes my day. Hopefully, you guys can possibly give me tips on how to improve my game so I can beat my friends this summer. :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. My name is Justin and I usually go fishing just outside Haliburton in the summer.

Hello all, Robert K here

Finally a proper fishing forum. Well done!

Fishing, Cigars, pretty women & Chicken wings...yeah I figured out the combination to a happy life.

Hello everyone, I am coming from Quebec, so excuse my fault. I like very much fishing and sometimes I prefer to fish alone.

Hi everyone, my names Shaun. Living in Bowmanville now but grew up in Toronto. Spent most of my summers up north around minden (parents cottage) and fished at least every other day until I was about 17. Then work and school (and the teenage not wanting to spend weekends with the family bug) conspired to stop me from fishing.

Flash forward 9 years, I met a great girl and as a bonus her father is a die hard angler. Got my license in 2006 and never went once, 2007 got out twice (planning a wedding seems to equal no fishing) both time post wedding. Now 2008 and I've been bit hard. I went ice fishing and froze my feet off for many hours without a bite, and couldn't wait to do it again, tried some open water creek fishing and nadda too much thin surface ice, then went up to visit my parents and slipped away for several hours and tried the little open water on Horseshoe lake again nothing. You'd think that in spite of all this unproductive fishing my enthusiasm would start to wain. Totally opposite, it's making my desire for my first fish of the season that much greater.

My goal on these forums is to get even half as good as my father in law while having a bunch of fun. I'm realizing getting back into it that there is SO much to learn. Considering my prior experience consisted of a worm on a hook and mepps #3's it's taking a ton of reading to get me up to speed.

So far this year my score is Fish 3 (shutouts), Logs 1 (lure), Me 0 (fish)

Forums looks good and I'll likely be picking everyones brains and contributing where I can.

Hi, my name is Sherman and I'm from Ottawa. I love fishing all sorts of fish, especially the big ones! I usually go to this great little spot in Castleman, which is in the greater Ottawa area. I drive my SUV down into it, it's sort of like a big stream, and can spend a whole day there. During the summer time, I can go in with my fishing suit. My daughter gets mad at me for not wearing enough sunscreen because I always come back red and tanned. Haha, anyways, nice to meet you all!

Hello everyone,

My name is Frank; I enjoy fishing... I am not a hardcore fisher but I have been going fishing since I was a kid. I have fished all over Ontario (boat, shore, ice), and I have done some ocean fishing. Overall I think fishing rocks! Its a great time to get away from the hustle of the city and just chillax.

Thanks for setting up what looks to be a good forum to discuss a great sport!

Frank

Hey everyone,

My name is Bernard and I'm glad I came across this forum. I found this site through RFD and I heard this site is pretty neat so I decided to give it a shot. Anyways, I love fishing and I cant wait until I can go fishing in the summer again.

Greetings everyone, I'm Connie and new to fishing (at least in recent years). We are going to give it a try with the kids on Lake Erie. When I was a kid I used to fish with my dad for perch and black bass.

I loved it and hope the kids do as well.

Hey everyone,

I'm Giffin and I found out about this forum from RedFlagDeals and thought it would be perfect for me to join because I've always loved fishing but never really had time to get more into it. Now that I'm graduating from university, I'll finally have more time to go learn to fish properly! I've gone fishing at Rice Lake a few times in the past years and I really enjoyed cooking up the panfish I caught. Here's hoping I'll eventually catch bigger and even tastier fish. Cheers!

Hi All,

My name is Domenic from the Montreal area, looking for a fishing spot not to far from the Quebec/Ontario border where I can take the kids to do some fishing.
