Holy zone 15 regulations. I was just checking it out seeing as this trip will probably in that zone and the amount of open year round lakes and fishing sanctuaries is daunting! Thank god for "ctrl F".

This is also probably a good source for picking lakes for the trip. Any lake with a year round open season is probably a good bet.

zone 15 = the closest thing to heaven us gta's have haha

I want to fish the lake that is only open for Jan and Feb, if such a lake exists. No pressure during the softwater season would be nice.

Seriously though, some lakes are effectively closed during the summer, due to other restrictions...I've already said too much

We are making ice today. Minus 20 over night, minus 13 at noon. I was on Rosseau yesterday up the east side. Pretty well all the bays up to Windermere are frozen. There was a good 6-7" of hard ice in the bay I was on. Didn't catch anything myself, but a couple of young kids skating around between their holes caught a nice 4-5 lb. Laker. I checked the west side of Rosseau and my spots are still open. Centre of Muskoka is wide open as well.

Im in boys, just put some kind of banner up as a reminder lol or a new post saying come here to this lake on this day and ill bring some booze

looks like this isnt gonna happen lol im still down if anyone wants to come fish haliburton up north pm me! Im open to anything ( trout, whities, eyes, pike) but would prefer specs/splakes

how about cooks or VB on the 2nd if the deep water ice doesnt firm up? Thats what I will likely be doing if the ice cant repair itself fast enough.

any perch water will be a ZOO this weekkend, family fishing weekend no licence needed everyone and theyre gramma (literally) will be out on cooks and vb haha

sign me up lol, crowds dont scare me when it comes to ice fishing. Unless we are out in 100' of water and there is the risk of tangled lines.

How early are you leaving----if it's 5 AM include me out!!

haha 5 am is sleeping in when it comes to fishing bro  . in all seriousness though whenever everyone is down to go lol Id like to be fishing by 9/10am at the latest
