How are you so fast with the camera? I was out near Ottawa this week. I had my new iphone ready so I could post some pics.
8 Turkeys in the middle of a dirt road, took off before I could take a pic.
About 20 deer in one field, ferked off before I could photo.
I have a feeling the Chevy diesel is scaring the wild-life.

Alfie.

not 100% sure but i think it is a cooper's hawk. What happened was i was out hiking in the woods, saw the hawk fyling away as it noticed me first as usual,so i keep at it want to get som pics of it.Later still hiking around come up on the hawk again this time he was down near the ground perched on some branches , go to shoot and gonzo.Know start heading back to the car on the trail, have to pass by where the feeders are setup for the birds, while what do you know the hawk comes soaring down from the trees targeting a dove near the feeders, i hear the comotion and see some feathers from the dove floating in the air down to the ground, the dove got away and i'm chasing after the hawk know as it headed back in the woods a bit, the hawk was know hanging around the brush and trees near to the ground, so i just worked my way towards him slowly and was able to snap a bunch of shots with my 55 -250 ml lens. The park get's a decent amount walkers, hikers and photographers, so the animals are not always spooked easy, especially the deer as long as you keep quiet and move slowly you can get quite close to them. The zoom lenses help a lot, hoping to get one that zooms even more but it is big cost.

some pics from a late afternoon visit to nature park black-capped chickadee, blue gills, tufted titmouse, squirrel, red-bellied woodpecker and canada goose.

Thank you FC for posting your pics. You always have good ones and as long as this thread has been going I always check it out when I notice there is a new post.

Yah the pics really are great Chris, if you get a few like this for every 20-60 you shoot you're doing something right! Cheers!

Wow, awesome photos. Love the noe with the squirrel. Looks like he is posing with the position of his arms and head. :D
