Was out on the kayak (west trib's) earlier this week and nothing caught in around 60 to 100 FOW. As Chrome Bullets mentioned water temps were up between 72-74F and this will need to come down before we start seeing significant numbers in closer.
Heard some rumours of fish being caught from the pier at my local tackle store so went and checked it out last night and chucked my fav spoon for a couple of hours with no love... There were a few other peeps trying too and didn't see any fish caught during my visit.
It has also been my experience that the east starts sooner than the west and this is most likely due to water temps and rain fall, however there could be other factors that I am not aware of.
Wether the run will be early or late this year is the $1mil question! I'll be watching the weather, winds and temps closely and of course trying my luck when I think the conditions provide a good chance.
Good luck and happy catching!
