holysht, you need a crane to swing that thing........how heavy is that
I could probably cast that within 10 feet which will be a perfect distance to snag a poacher.

thats ridiculos, why can snagger egg hunters and meat hunters combine as in a meat hunter gives the eggs to the egg hunter and he in turns gives the carcass of fish he harvests to meat hunters. less would go to waste, also wbbers arent that bad, i see them taking freshly slit fish all the time

I don't understand, was that fisherman over his limit? If someone catches their limit of salmon, no problem. It's their right.

well over the limit, plus its not really morally right to do so

If you look at the first post, it implies more than 1 person; so they are not over their limit...
Definitely some males in there so its for consumption....

it's not about consumption or eggs or catch limits read the title it's about snagging, those people snagged all those fish
Yeah...tried a redirect on "Sunny Side Up" but children will be children and threatened when not clinging to mommies dress...

Wow, I really get under your skin don't I...... LOL. I haven't felt the urge to name call on the Internet in ages. It's lowbrow. All the best!

If limit is in question, Like buck said it's how they caught those salmon that is wrong. But if all those salmons were caught the legal way and gutted is it still going to be morally wrong?

the sad part is most of these fish end up in the trash, people expect bright orange meet only to find mushy white dog food. the five fish limit is ridiculous though...

Not really...but you wade in every so often to agitate the board with your unfounded speculation...no name calling, merely an analogue of your screen name...
You certainly would know about lowbrow given the quality of your "contributions", indeed, all the best.

You have no idea how many cultures consider these to be an edible food source. I witnessed a fellow haul his limit of boots out of the river yesterday, by the back, the tail, the dorsal etc.. Mostly big males.! I asked what his intentions where, and in limited English he made it quite clear they where dinner!
where was dinner?

is there that big of a difference in taste as far as lake caught salmon( off the pier) or stream caught? i wouldn't know i catch and release everything i catch unless i cant revive it then my neighbors jump on it.... ( im allergic to fish go figure...)

unfortunately the difference is drastic, its not like a bacon vs pea meal bacon type thing.. the nutrients from the meat go into the eggs/sperm. and the fish is decomposing as it goes up the river, the flesh texture and color changes drastically as well.
