I hear yah man, I thought the same still not 100% convinced either but everyother seasoned angler I have talked too has said Brown..guess ill never really know..

Mykiss or Salmo Trutta it was a fish and it ran me through my paces in tough conditons. On a day with little to no other traffic on the water. The rain held off (for the most part) and I was rewarded with a fresh run fish. Giving a little re assurance that they are still commin in to do their thing. Opener is just around the corner and I cant wait!

If she took you round the block a few times bro...chances are she was no brown... :cool:
 
Browns are known to turn silver after spawning. A quick example:

An Atlantic salmon (note the position of the eye):

an atlantic would also have black lines along the leading edges of the fins, it is most definitely a brown or bow as i don't think there is any record of atlantics cross breeding with browns in ontario yet(there is cross breeding recorded in spain)
