Thanks guys for the comments. This river is spring fed and is Gin clear. You can sight fish and watch them come up to the fly. I really enjoy watching them rise from about 6 feet depth to the fly only to reject it. LOL. Makes me smile every time. I also had a fish rise to my fly and for me to miss it not once but three times only to hook it on the fourth rise. That has never happened before and it occured twice on this trip. Sometimes you get too excited and set the hook too quickly, :)

A nice Sockeye buck caught yesterday. Chums, pinks and cohos are entering the rivers and creeks now. A fun time for multi species salmon fishing.

 I'm not sure, its no steelhead or atlantic and this fish was caught chucking bait. ALMOST perfect

BTW, your signature is hilarious

Haven't been on here much since April, this summer has been very busy for me.

Got my first chinook on the lake a few weeks ago.

30.45lbs and a helluva fight.

Had an amazing day on GB Sunday, beauty weather and lots of fish, we go out downrigging to a perticular spot a couple times a year, one run is always a meat run. Ya i know, killing fish is bad, but we are always greatful to have a freezer with natural pacific salmon in it, plus we love giving it away to friends and family who love fish.
So we managed to put 8 in the boat, losing 2 and having a few knock offs, got one just shy of 20 lbs, biggest one we have gotten, or for that matter, have seen get caught in years on the big water. Anyways, I'm not going to put up the pics of the fish we destroyed, but here's one of a nice silver female that started off our morning.

Took the family out for a day on the river. A rainy day turned sunny and warm. Had a fly fishing lesson with my boys and caught a few chum salmon to boot. A great day.
